The PeThoria Foundation is the community care arm of PeThoria Match. We believe every pet deserves access to basic veterinary care, regardless of their owner's financial situation. Through the Foundation, qualifying members can apply for assistance with urgent medical needs, wellness visits, and rescue-related expenses. Our programs are funded by community support, platform partnerships, and the shared commitment of pet lovers who use PeThoria Match every day.

What the Foundation Covers

Depending on availability and eligibility, Foundation assistance may include:

• Emergency veterinary visits for acute illness or injury
• Routine wellness exams and vaccinations for rescue adoptions
• Spay and neuter support for community cats and dogs
• Short-term foster supplies for animals awaiting permanent homes
• Referrals to low-cost clinics and regional rescue partners

The Foundation does not replace pet insurance or ongoing specialty care. It is designed as a safety net for unexpected hardship — a sick puppy who needs antibiotics, a senior cat requiring dental work, or a foster family covering initial vet costs before adoption.

Who Can Apply

Foundation programs are open to registered PeThoria Match members who demonstrate financial need and provide accurate information about their pet's condition. Priority is given to rescue adopters, seniors on fixed incomes, and cases where delaying care would cause significant suffering. Applicants must have an active account in good standing and agree to use funds solely for the stated veterinary purpose.

How to Apply

After creating a free PeThoria Match account, visit your dashboard and look for the Foundation or Pet Care Application section. You will be asked to describe your pet's condition, upload any available veterinary estimates, and indicate whether the need is urgent. Our team reviews applications in the order received, with expedited review for emergency cases marked urgent.

Approved applicants receive confirmation by email and instructions for coordinating payment directly with participating veterinary clinics or reimbursement where applicable. Processing times vary based on application volume; urgent cases are typically reviewed within 48 hours when documentation is complete.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Every dollar allocated through the Foundation is tracked and reported internally. We partner only with licensed veterinarians and established rescue organizations. We do not sell applicant data, and medical information shared during the application process is kept confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
